19th Annual A Mountain Quiltfest™

Description: The Pigeon Forge Quiltfest is one of the city's most popular events. It attracts more than 20,000 visitors to the Smoky Mountains each year. While many of those folks are quilters (young, old, novice and expert), the event also brings in crafters and those who simply enjoy amazing works of quilted art.

This year, A Mountain Quiltfest is produced by the City of Pigeon Forge and co-hosted by the Piecemakers and Sevier Valley Quilters Guilds.

More than 60 classes and seminars are offered during the award-winning event, with some of the nation's top quilting instructors at the helm. Quiltfest 2013 will feature Charlotte Angotti, Cindy Blackberg, Karen Kay Buckley, Cynthia England, Bonnie Goolsby, Klaudeen Hansen, Harriett Hargrave, Paula Nadelstern, Vikki Pignatelli and Ami Simms.

Also, during the event there is a large quilt show display of more than 250 of the works of art. The vendor mall gives the opportunity to shop for the latest supplies and fabrics.

Familiar favorite, Atahualpa features the music of the Andes and the Zambian Vocal Group shares a cappella songs from Africa.
